Speaker 2Hello , welcome back to Team Winget Podcast , and I'm your host , dave Morgan . I do apologize for the delay in episode 11 here , but well , the last week I've been suffering from a cold and I've sounded like poo . I probably still sound a little bit nasally , a little bit coldy fluey , whatever you want to call it , but I'm a hell of a lot better than I was . So I thought let's get off my ass . I have a bit of time on my hands . Why not do something , film it ? I have an afternoon , so let's get some shit done . Since we talked last well , since I talked and you listened what
School Holiday Adventures
Speaker 2has happened ? I should have written more down , but these couple of weeks have been a bit chaotic .
Speaker 2School holidays happened . Josh and I caught up with Callie . We did Holy Moly at Eastland , so it was like this novelty , fucking mini golf thing , bit of fun . We did 10-pin bowling at Time Zone where they have this bullshit little setup , and I went and broke it , because the pins are lowered down on a string and that's how they're done , and I hit them so hard that they all wrapped around each other and tied themselves in knots . So we had to go get someone to go and untangle them and , oh God , all I do is just throw shit as hard as I can .
Speaker 2That is my bowling style . There is no fucking style . It is just throw shit hard and fast . There you go , yeah , apparently , at the time zone one . That's not good , yeah , well , they'll bloody , learn , not me . Good , yeah , well , they'll bloody , learn not me . So yeah , I think that was the week , the second week of the holidays that was after lizzie's birthday , so so from now , I think on the friday yeah , pretty sure that was the friday that we had josh till like four in the afternoon , so leanne and I took him to go see the live action version of how to Train your Dragon . And because Josh and Leanne loved that movie the original , and I've seen it a couple of times , it's not too bad , so we thought yeah let's go check this out , because we'd heard good things .
Speaker 2We were going to go see the live action lilo and stitch , but apparently nobody had anything good to say about that . It just wasn't very good at all . So we thought , yeah , you know what ? We'll wait for that to come out on streaming , but this is what we're going to do at the movies and up . Yeah , it was well worth . It was very , very well done and yeah , it's all about vikings and dragons and if you've got a kid , I'm sure you've seen it . If you've been a kid in the last 10-15 years , I'm sure you've seen it . So , yeah , it was well worth the effort to go to the movies . Not that I do that very often , it's not only in the kids movies or Marvel movies . So I'm keeping up with tradition . One day I'll actually go see in that proper grown-up movie . I don't know if that's going to happen any time soon . That would take me being an actual proper grown-up and I don't feel like doing that either . So I don't know , don't like the chance of that happening .
Speaker 2Josh went home around 4 o'clock on the Friday , since it was
French Toast and Red Dwarf
Speaker 2my weekend , kid-free apparently . But school holidays mix everything up . So on the Saturday I remember Leanne who had had French toast up at her sister's place but her nephew cooked the French toast for her and she was like that was so good . So she tried to remember the recipe and did French toast for her and she was like that was so good . So she , yeah , she tried to remember the recipe and did french toast for brunch for us and , oh my god , I've never had proper bloody french toast . So so big thumbs up to Sparrow for that and for Leanne for cooking it at my place . So , yeah , that was really good .
Speaker 2And then we had Indian food that night because Leanne and I have been binge-watching Red Dwarf and we were watching an episode where the last human alive , dave Lister , has run out of curry . So it's like a national emergency , an intergalactic emergency , whatever you want to call it . And so there was a curry monster and all this sort of shit and , yeah , it just reminded Leanne that she likes Indian food and curries and stuff . So we decided we would have enough for dinner and that was actually really cool . We found out that we liked the same sort of stuff with Indian foods and , oh man , I ate that next day . It was great . I forgot how much I enjoy Indian food too . So that will have to happen again . And there is actually a international red dwarf day and , if I remember correctly offhand , I think it was Feb 15th , so the day after Valentine's Day . So we're gonna have to remember that for next year .
BCW Wrestling Weekend
Speaker 2Um , last weekend , the 25th and 26th , I believe it was the Friday , saturday night of July I had back-to-back wrestling shows for BCW battle championship wrestling . I'm sure I'd sort of talked a little bit about it , but I don't tend to talk too much about wrestling on here because I know it bores the crap out of a lot of people . I like it , I love it . I'm gonna keep doing it until I can't do it anymore , I guess , because , yeah , I'm 47 . I can't do it anymore , I guess , because , yeah , I'm 47 , four and a half , I guess . And yeah , I'm having more fun with it now than I have in years . So I'm actually branching out and going to different groups a bit now too , so you never know where I'll pop up . But yeah , both nights were good .
Speaker 2Leanne came to the first night . Yeah , she saw me get roughed up a little . She got to meet more people that she didn't meet the first time she came . Yeah , I think she had fun . I'm pretty sure she had fun . And then , yeah , her , josh and I came home on the Friday night . Her and Josh looked after me . On the Saturday . She taught Josh how to make French toast , why she supervised while he was doing a lot of things , and , yeah , they looked after me really well . But then , yeah , by the afternoon Leanne wasn't feeling the best , so a bit sore , so she went home , not a problem . She saw one of the two nights , so that was good .
Speaker 2Then I went and did the second night with Josh and , my goodness , back-to-back wrestling shows was interesting . It was a lot of fun . Don't get me wrong , I regret nothing . I just , yeah , just had lots of fun . As I said , I'd tell you more about it , but I know most of you don't care . But for those of you who do , I've decided I'm going to start back up the Dave Morgan referee Instagram page . I think it's called David Morgan Wrestling Ref . I think it's called , I can't remember . And yeah , I just started up today and I'm going to just put photos from 22 plus years of refereeing on there , so at least I have somewhere for them to go , and that way I'll just add wrestling people to that , and so you can pick out people from years and years and years ago and go oh my God , I refereed early matches of you and you and you and you and look at what we're all old now and it sucks . So , yeah , it should be a lot of fun and , as I said , I'm having a lot of fun with it again and I think my next show with them is like October , so I guess we'll see what happens .

Upcoming Rant Episode Plans
Speaker 2a shitload . So I remember I think it was at the end of the last episode I mentioned that a couple of people have said , dave , you're not as entertaining now that you're being nice to people and being calm and shit . So I was talking to the board of directors for team wing it and , um , I may just do an episode of me just ranting because I've started writing a list of shit . That just pisses me off . So you know what ? I may just do it just for shits and giggles , just to see if I still can do the old anger and just fucking rah , rah , rah , rah , rah , and who knows , it could be a bit therapeutic , a bit cathartic , could be a bit of fun actually . So I figure , you know what ? Why the hell not ? And let's see how many curse words I can fit into a , say , 10-minute podcast episode , shall we ? Let's ?

Reflections on Hulk Hogan and Ozzy
Speaker 1I am not the Lord and I don't have Alzheimer's . It's remember and revenge .
Speaker 2And before I go this time , you know what Two big deaths happened recently . Well , they get a lot of news Hulk Hogan from the world of wrestling and Ozzy Osbourne Now me , being a huge wrestling fan from God knows early 80s , I guess , when was WrestleMania 1 or 2 ? Yeah , the first WrestleMania I ever saw was Hulk Hogan in a steel cage against King Kong Bundy . Yeah , that was WrestleMania 2 , I think that was 85 . And I've been a wrestling fan ever since but for some reason never liked Hulk Hogan .
Speaker 2I was always Ultimate Warrior or Rowdy Ruddy Piper or Terry Funk or the people who had more of a character to them , just something a bit different . So look , and Hulk Hogan later on became a bit of a scumbag and , look it up , he was just a shithead . So I had I meh , don't care but Ozzy Osbourne , oh my God , that gutted me . I woke up on that Monday morning , saw that and I'm like , ah no , get fucked , that's just ruined my Monday , as if Mondays aren't bad enough . So because of that , I'm going to add an Ozzy Osbourne song to the end of this , and it's one that I didn't actually know existed until just recently . He did a song with Elton John called Ordinary man and it's a little different to what he normally does . And , to tell you the truth , I couldn't picture those two doing a song together . But it works well . So on that note , I'm going to say goodbye , I'm going to throw the song in here and I will see you all next episode . See you later .
